In its activity, the Media Center Directorate focuses on the field of cultural diplomacy, which includes organization and conducting of sightseeing tours. Every Saturday, the Directorate invites representatives of foreign missions to participate in excursions around Kyiv as well as throughout the entire country.
Among the services of the Media Center Directorate, there are organization of pleasant stay in Ukrainian recreational resorts; assistance to diplomatic delegations. In addition, the Directorate provides publishing services, the distribution of information and promotional materials through diplomatic correspondence boxes.
The Media Center, which nowadays is so popular among Kyiv citizens and guests of the capital, was established in order to satisfy the need to popularize knowledge about history of diplomacy of Ukraine and to share opinions in the field of cultural diplomacy, to discuss issues, which are topical and important not only for our country, but also for the whole world, with gurus of the abovementioned fields. Our modern media venue is technically equipped and unites diplomats, academics, representatives of the government and the mass media.
Another major activity of the Directorate is book publishing. Among the main publications, there are the “Diplomatic Ukraine” scientific yearbook, books included to the “Library of the scientific year-book “Diplomatic Ukraine” and “Diplomacy Without Borders” magazine.
